Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Snake Puzzle Max mobile application ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with and the choices you have. The app is published by NutanTech Labs, B-128, Bakshi Compound, Bariatu, RIMS Chowk, Ranchi, Jharkhand 834009, India ("NutanTech Labs"). NutanTech Labs is the data controller for the processing described here.
1. Summary
- The app does not require an account, and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- Your game progress and settings are stored on your device only.
- The app shows advertising through Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK collects advertising identifiers and device information to serve and measure ads. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first.
- If you use the leaderboard, a nickname you choose, your level times and an anonymous random identifier are sent to Google Firebase so you can be ranked against other players.
- We do not sell personal information.
2. Information stored on your device
The app keeps the following on your phone, in the app's private storage. It never leaves the device unless stated in sections 3 and 4.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Levels cleared, best time and date per level, the level you are on | So the game continues where you left off and the level map shows your progress |
| Sound and theme settings | To remember your preferences |
| Leaderboard nickname and anonymous leaderboard ID | So your leaderboard entries stay yours across launches |
| Ad consent choice | So you are not asked again |
Uninstalling the app deletes all of this.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) provided by Google LLC to show rewarded video ads and occasional interstitial ads. When an ad is requested, the SDK may collect and send to Google:
- your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, subject to your tracking permission on iOS);
- IP address, approximate location derived from it, device make and model, operating system, language and screen size;
- app identifier and version, and ad interaction events (an ad was shown, completed, clicked or closed).
Google uses this to select, deliver and measure ads and to detect fraud. How Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites; Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Consent and your choices
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any ad is shown, the app presents a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform). You can accept, refuse, or manage purposes, and you can change your choice later from the same form.
- Everywhere: you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your phone settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising). Ads will still be shown, but less personalised.
- Rewarded ads are always optional: you choose to watch them in exchange for a life, a hint or a level jump.
4. Leaderboard (Google Firebase)
The leaderboard is optional and only active in builds where it has been enabled. When you clear a level, the app sends to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication, operated by Google LLC):
- an anonymous random identifier created for your installation (not linked to any account or email);
- the nickname you chose (the app suggests a random one like "Snake 4821" until you change it);
- your best time on each level you clear, the number of levels you have cleared and the total of your best times.
Your nickname and times are shown to other players on the leaderboard. Please do not use a nickname that identifies you if you do not want that. No other information is sent. Firebase's privacy information is at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
5. Information we do not collect
The app does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, calendar or files. It does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs beyond those described above. It contains no in-app purchases and collects no payment information.
6. Legal bases (EU/UK users)
- Storing progress and settings: necessary to provide the game you asked for (performance of a contract).
- Personalised advertising: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised advertising, fraud prevention and security: our legitimate interest in funding and protecting a free app.
- Leaderboard: your consent, given by choosing to use it and entering a nickname.
7. Retention
- On-device data: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Advertising data held by Google: according to Google's retention policies linked above.
- Leaderboard data: until you ask us to delete it (see section 9). Entries from installations that have not been active for 24 months may be removed.
8. Children
The app is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age that applies in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights and how to delete your data
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the app does not hold any account, here is how it works in practice:
- Device data: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your phone's app settings.
- Leaderboard data: see Delete your data, or email info@nutantechlabs.com with your nickname. We will remove your entries within 30 days. You can also change your nickname in the app at any time.
- Advertising data: use the consent form in the app (EU/UK) or your phone's advertising settings; for data held by Google, use myadcenter.google.com.
10. Security
Data sent to Google services travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Leaderboard rows can only be written by the installation that created them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
Google may process the data described above on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's policies linked above.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version at this address and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's store listing notes.
